Homemade Chai Tea Latte

- fine mesh sieve

Chai Concentrate

1Add water , ground cinnamon , ground ginger , ground cardamom , ground nutmeg , ground allspice , and whole cloves (or ground cloves ) to a saucepan . Bring to a boil, whisking constantly for ⏱️ 1 minute , then remove from heat and steep for ⏱️ 5 minutes .water: 2 c, ground cinnamon: 1 tsp, ground ginger: 1/2 tsp, ground cardamom: 1/2 tsp, ground nutmeg: 1/2 tsp, ground allspice: 1/2 tsp, whole cloves: 2, ground cloves: 1/4 tsp

2Return to heat, add black tea bags and maple syrup (or honey), and bring back to a slight boil. Turn off heat and steep for ⏱️ 5 minutes .black tea bags: 2, maple syrup: 2 tbsp

3Remove tea bags and strain through a fine mesh sieve . Reserve 1/2 cup for immediate use; refrigerate the remainder for up to 2 weeks.
Per Latte

1Heat milk (whole, coconut, cashew, almond, or oat) with maple syrup and a pinch of ground cinnamon in a small saucepan until edges bubble, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.milk: 3/4 c, maple syrup: 1 tbsp, ground cinnamon

2Froth the milk with an immersion blender or fork until foamy.

3Pour chai concentrate into a mug and slowly add the frothed milk. Top with a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Serve warm.chai concentrate: 1/2 c
