6Just made this peach cobbler recipe with fresh peaches! It is sooooo yummy!! I only had 1 1/4 cups of sugar so I used the 1cup of sugar in the crust and substituted 3/4 cup brown sugar + 1/4 cup white sugar in with the peaches. I used self rising flour and this will be the cobbler recipe I use from now on!! Thank You Paula!! FANTASTIC!! <3

8Just got finished eating a bowl of this with ice cream - so good!!! Watch the video and do it the same way, you won't be disappointed. They only thing I changed was I used all purpose flour with 2 1/2 tsp. of baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt instead of the self-rising flour. Turned out beautifully - peaches on the bottom, light and fluffy topping. Thank you!

10My cobbler is in the oven, cooking away, and looks perfect...if there was a such thing. I think this recipe is great except for pouring the flour mixture in before the peach mixture off the stovetop. I say this because I had to mix it all together with a spoon in too one mixture. The recipe said not to do that but my cobbler wouldn’t have been mixed thoroughly. Thanks Paula Deen!!! I’ll take a finished photo as soon as it gets done and post it too!

18I truly believe this is what heaven tastes like. I did add nutmeg and cinnamon mix to the crust and peaches. I feel all the ingredients are totally balanced. I see another review that confused me. This is a really great basis and you can go wild from here especially the assembly of the cobbler is genus. I loved it and its easy. plus can we say yes please to BUTTER! EEEOOOWWWW

48This is such an easy, fool-proof recipe. I’ve made it for many, many years and it’s always a hit. I’ve used both fresh and frozen peaches and sometimes added blueberries. Just be aware that this is not a dessert for guests seriously managing cholesterol, blood sugar or weight. Probably true for most desserts lol!

52Wonderful!!! I have made this for years and it is a favorite with my family and friends. So east to make and the ONLY way to mess it up is to use PLAIN flour!!! As one reviewer asked "who uses self rising flour any more?" Oh, I don't know, just about EVERYBODY!!!! I do have both actually, and keep them separate so I know the difference!! Love you, Paula! You're the best!!!

102Yes here is her recipe using canned peaches:
-
103INGREDIENTS
-
1041⁄4 cup butter 1 cup sugar 3⁄4 cup self-rising flour 3⁄4 cup milk 1 (28 ounce) can peach slices in heavy syrup, undrained (or use fresh if available, see note) cinnamon, for sprinkling (optional, use only with peach or apple cobbler)
-
105DIRECTIONS
-
106- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. - Place butter in oven in a 2-quart baking dish to melt. - Stir sugar and flour together and mix well. Slowly add milk and continue to stir to prevent the batter from lumping. - Being careful not to burn yourself, remove hot baking dish containing melted butter from oven; pour batter directly over butter in baking dish (DO NOT STIR). - Spoon fruit on top of batter, then gently pour syrup on top (DO NOT STIR). Sprinkle with cinnamon, if using. The most important part of this dish is not stirring the mixture. - Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Your batter will rise above your fruit, producing the most wonderful of crusts. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.

-
113July 02, 2021

114At the end of the video, she says she didn't quite use a full cup and also that she prefers a juicier cobbler which is why she used more than the 1/2 cup the recipe calls for!

117June 23, 2021

118It will make enough batter for 1 13x9 inch pan of peach cobbler, rising to the top of the pan during cooking.
-

120Hey! Thanks for the quick response, but unfortunately I do not have a 13x9 pan. Only two 8x8's. Do you think that I could possibly divide the mix into two separate pans by any chance?
